What is holding us to achieve economic integration among Arab countries?

What we need today as Arabs is to gain the economic union through our Arabic countries, our countries won’t be capable to become strong and developed without the economic integration.

Unfortunately, we possess all the ingredients for this integration, including a common language, one history, and enormous wealth on which scientifically advanced industries are based. We own the various sources of oil, gas, minerals, and the cultivation of different types of agricultural crops, minerals, precious stones, and the beauty of nature.. We also have historical monuments in Egypt, Iraq and Syria, in addition to the other countries to complement each other..

Even the human resources are present in the Arab countries at various levels of education, instead of using foreign powers to implement projects in the Arab countries, urban or industrial, after elaborated training.

A great example of what I hope to be practiced in Arab countries, I found at the beginning of the project of economic integration between Egypt, Iraq and Jordan, which began in March 2020, a number of political and economic issues and files were reviewed, the most important of which are the elimination of terrorism and the agreement on the reconstruction of Iraq, and this matter is very important as the Arabs benefit The private sector in these Arab countries also benefits from each other, with their capabilities, instead of spending Iraq's money on foreign companies for its reconstruction.

As well as the construction of a huge pipeline from Egypt to Iraq via Jordan to get Iraq  electricity in exchange for Iraqi oil to Egypt.

Egypt contributes to the reconstruction of Iraq due to the efficiency of the huge construction companies in cooperation with the Egyptian army and its great experience in this field.

To confirm this in practice, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Iraqi President Barham Salih and King Abdullah II met in New York to confirm this positive economic path from a country like Egypt that is keen on national security by setting plans that deal with strengthening economic integration between these three, which contributes to formulating a single Arab vision towards the crises of countries world and the Arab world.

Including the deal of the century that America proposed to the Arab countries to solve the Palestinian issue with Israel, and it requires unity of word among the Arab countries towards these important Arab issues... such as the establishment of a Palestinian state alongside the State of Israel with East Jerusalem as its capital.

However, what concerns me in this article is to focus on the possibility of economic integration among the Arab countries, of which the tripartite economic unit project is one of its important features, as Egypt wants to open new horizons for economic cooperation with Jordan and Iraq, especially in the fields of oil and gas, transport, health, environment, investment and the reconstruction of Iraq for this unit to be The economic beginning of other economic unions between the Arab countries.

We also are aware about the "NEOM" economic project, which brings together Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the UAE, which will make the Arab countries contribute to it advanced scientific and economic leaps that will bring these Arab countries to enormous civilizational standards of science and scientific inventions... and huge industries and integrated agricultural crops... and advanced tourism.

What is important in all of this is to follow the scientific and practical steps in planning the implementation of the steps of this great project.

As Arabs, we have to realize where our interests are as governments and peoples, and we seek to achieve them through economic unity between our countries. There are many examples of the possibility of this important goal of becoming scientifically and civilly advanced countries in the twenty-first century.
