I wrote this experience in 1982, four years before the death of the British International  medium, Doris Stokes, and I published it previously in 1982 through the well-known magazine “Osrati”.

The humble English spiritual medium, Doris Stokes, was internationally known for the strength of her spiritual abilities in communicating with the other world. When I requested to meet her to prepare the etheric body of my brother Muhammad, who passed away on the day he arrived with my family to Lebanon in 1972, we were all saddened by his death when he was only seventeen. Here I republish it today in the "Arab Mirror" electronic magazine as an evidence of the reality of the existence of the other world in which etheric bodies live until the day of resurrection and judgment.. let's start the experiment. 

I read a lot about her, through a book that narrated her biography as a spiritual mediator, including multiple press interviews, I looked forward to meet her and to touch closely the extent of her spiritual ability that will enable me to contact my brother who left us ten years ago.

Perhaps I quench a longing that prompted me to read books and spiritual topics, I search through it for the truth of life after death, but reaching it was definitely not an easy task. Mrs. Doris Stokes is one of the most famous psychics in Britain, her schedule is very busy, while my days in England do not exceed the amount of fingers in one hand, I’ve used my career as a journalist to open the closed door.

I told her agent, "I am a journalist from Bahrain, a country in the Arabian Gulf, I hope that you'll help me meet Mrs. Doris Stokes regarding an article I’ll write about her in a Gulf magazine."

He replied, "I will inform her, and she will contact you if she considered the meeting important”

I didn’t imagine that she would contact me the coming morning , I was terrified when I heard her voice flowing into my ears through the phone, she spoke to me simply in a way I didn’t expect from a world-renowned medium.

She asked me why I wanted to meet her. 

I told her: "I l’ve lost my brother ten years ago, and Since that time, I have read multiple spiritual books, searching for the truth of the continuation of life after death, so I want to contact to you for two main purposes..

The first reason is related to preparing my brother's soul to ensure his presence in the other world. The second is related to my work as a journalist, I will ask you many questions related to the spiritual world in addition to your work as a mediator.

I felt despair when she said: "I would like to meet you, but I‘ll be extremely busy during the next three days, and later I will take a four-day vacation to spend at my house in the Kent area, I‘ll see you after I return."

I said, "But by that time I would’ve left England, and I am very anxious to meet you, because I am eager to know the truth about the existence of the spirit world and the presence of my brother in it."

She was silent for a while, to think of a solution. Then she informed me with a clearly affected tone 

"Then come over to my house during my vacation, I will be waiting on Saturday at eleven o'clock in the morning, does that suit you?"

I replied with joy: "It suits me very much, Thank you for your kindness."

She answered humbly: "I hope the session will be successful so that you can be convinced of the existence of the etheric world and the presence of your brother in it.. I have to inform you from now about the possibility that the session may not succeed, since this matter is beyond the will of the mediator and is related to the spirit itself and its desire and ability to attend."

I agreed with what she informed, because I’ve read a lot about the spiritual world and the difficulties that the mediator face in preparing the soul (the etheric body), which is beyond the psychic’s control.

I eagerly waited for this meeting, when the time came, I, accompanied by my husband, rode the train heading to the "Kent" area.

The sky was overcast with clouds, heralding rain, and I took in contemplation while thinking about my brother. Will he be able to attend? What will he tell me? The longing grew sharper and blended with dread in my heart,  due to the session.. I don’t know what would happen.. 

An hour later, the train arrived.. It was difficult for us to get a taxi or a bus in the location we were in, but our good luck took us to a couple who drove us to the address, and we finally arrived to the desired destination of the medium.

The greenery was  in front of us in coordination, and people were frolicking on the grass.. everyone in this place lived in caravans as they used them to spend their holidays. After we walked for a few minutes, Mrs. Doris Stokes caught us while she was waiting after she welcomed us with simplicity and intimacy. 

We walked into the house while I was contemplating her, a sixty-three-year-old woman, despite that radiating activity and vitality, she had a humble soul, she wasn’t  spoiled by her wide fame, it only made her more firmly established in the features of her personality.

I sat with my husband in the living room, which was not more than 9 square meters in size, the mediator took her seat in front of us, and started talking simply about her life and the weather, then moved on to talking about her neighbors. 

While I was thinking about the living environment of this lady who did not try to manipulate her spiritual abilities to get rich materially, as many others in her same major do, and don’t have her spiritual ability, her used second hand car was parked outside and her husband was busy fixing it. 

I’ve noticed during my conversation with this mediator a strange glint in her eyes that may have resulted from her dealings for many years with a world that we cannot see. The calm and psychological reassurance was evident in her personality by speaking without fear of her having cancer three times and getting rid of it after twelve operations, she wasn’t afraid of death and considered it a stage of transition to a better world.

"Can you prepare my brother's soul now?"

She replied confidently, "It depends on his desire to attend - the job of the mediator, as I mentioned to you, is to mention the name of the person who wants to talk from the earthly world with the etheric body present in the year of the soul. If the required etheric body wants to communicate, the call can be made, but if he doesn’t, it will not happen, and sometimes other obstacles related to the etheric electrical vibrations emanating from the present persons hinder the communication. In summary, the presence of the soul or its non-presence would be entered into by the mediator because it constitutes only the link between the earthly material world and the etheric spiritual world By his spiritual powers. Now I will try to focus so that I can contact your brother.

She grabbed her temples with her hands and closed her eyes to be able to focus. Suddenly she turned to a chair next to me, and greeted a person I couldn’t see, my heart was beating fast.

Suddenly, she turned and said: He says his name is Muhammad.. and he wants me to tell his parents that he loves them very much and that he hugs his mother every night and kisses her before she sleeps, but she doesn't see him.

She continued, "He also says that he wants you to convey his peace to his brothers and sisters."

The mediator began enumerating the names of my brothers and sisters that match their real names. She paused to listen to him while he spoke to her.. My longing was getting more intense as I found myself unable to see him. She spoke to him naturally and spontaneously, and asked him to repeat some words so that she could hear them clearly.

She turned to me again and said, "Your brother wanted to mention some things related to your life so that you can be sure of the fact that he is in the spirit world. 

He mentioned, for example, that your mother used to put a big picture of him in the living room." And another large black and white picture in her bedroom, including a third, small picture, which she put in a drawer by her bed, where she kissed it every night before she sleeps.

I could not help myself from crying because what she said was true, I was feeling happy because I was more and more certain that the one speaking to the mediator is my brother Muhammad, and that he lives in another world as we live with different scales commensurate with the nature of his ethereal world.

And until tomorrow, we’ll continue discussing the meeting.
